Two Card Ideas with Die Cuts and the Scraps

For today's Pretty Cards & Paper Blog Hop, the team has created some amazing projects with the Painted Christmas patterned paper. I love this paper! And I think you will too. I created two cards today where I die cut pieces for one card and then used the scraps for another card. I love using all of the pieces and not having to put anything in the trash. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Christmas Card Idea with Die-Cut Trees

For my first card, I cut circles from Evening Evergreen and Crumb Cake cardstock. Then, I added trees that I had die-cut with the Whimsical Trees dies. I stamped the simple greeting from the Penguin Place stamp set. Three brushed metallic dots finish off this simple card design.

• Evening Evergreen: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• Evening Evergreen: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
• Crumb Cake: 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
• Painted Christmas patterned paper: 5 1/2" x 2 1/2"
• Painted Christmas patterned paper: 5" x 3"

Christmas Card Idea with Scraps

I used the circles that I cut from the first card to create the second card. I had cut the trees for the first card from the Crumb Cake circle which left negative space trees for this card. So simple!

• Evening Evergreen: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• Evening Evergreen: 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"
• Painted Christmas patterned paper: 1 1/2" x 5"
• Painted Christmas patterned paper: 2 1/2" x 5"
