Unique handmade Christmas Cards On Black Cardstock

Cutting Dimensions for this Unique Christmas CArd Idea:

Basic Black cardstock:

• 11" x 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2"
• 5 1/4" x 4"
• Scraps

Silver Foil Paper: Scraps
Whisper White cardstock: scraps

I started by embossing the card front with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. Then, I used an ink blending technique to swirl on White Craft Ink. After the white ink was dry, I did more ink blending to add Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point ink over the white. The white ink allows the blue inks to show up on the black cardstock.

After I was done with the ink blending, I added splattering with my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I love the specks of glitter on the dark cardstock that look like a sea of stars. On top of this, I added stars and the word Joy cut from Silver Foil paper. I tied the card front with Silver Metallic Ribbon.

Finishing the inside of this Christmas Card:

To finish this unique Christmas Card, I added another die-cut of the word peace on the inside of the card surrounded by three silver stars. The outside of this Christmas Card reads: "Joy to the World" with "and peace on Earth" on the inside.
