Use a Simple Card Sketch with New Stamps

Do you ever get new stamps and you aren't quite sure what to do with them? I find that using a simple card sketch can help when you're playing with a new stamp set or patterned paper. And I have a great one for you today!

I used this card sketch as the basis for my Mystery Stamping event this week. It was so much fun seeing what everyone came up with! I hope you'll join me next Tuesday night at 8pm Eastern in the On Y Go! Stamping Facebook group. I post the list of supplies on Monday afternoon or evening. Then, during a Facebook live event, I give you step-by-step instructions to complete the card with your prepared supplies.

Sample Handmade Cards

My card sample above uses the In Symmetry stamp set and Sweet Symmetry patterned papers. These stamps and papers have been available since May, but I just received them recently and finally had a chance to play with them!

My next sample uses the NEW Flowering Rain Boots stamp set with the Flowering Fields patterned paper. I just love how bright and bold these colors are! I inked the tulips with Mango Melody and then used Blending Brushes to add a little Poppy Parade to the bottom.

Sunshine & Rainbows Card Idea

I can't get enough of the Sunshine & Rainbows patterned paper that is available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2022. I used my new cloud punch to punch the cloud shapes from the patterned paper. And of course, the rainbow is stamped with the coordinating Rainbow of Happiness stamp set.
