Wow! Card Ideas with the Pretty Perennials Stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Sometimes you want simple cards, and sometimes, you want to step it up a bit. Here's a secret though - even WOW! cards can be easy cards to make! Especially when you use gorgeous patterned paper. Today, I'm pairing the Pretty Perennials stamp set with the True Love and Flower & Field patterned papers from Stampin' Up! The Flower & Field paper is a FREE item during Sale-A-Bration 2021. I am going to miss this paper when it is gone in two weeks! It's absolutely gorgeous because of the bright colors on a field of black and it pairs very well with the black and white True Love patterned paper. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Just Happy Card

This card has the Field & Flower patterned paper on the top and the True Love paper on the bottom. I've embossed the "happy" sentiment on Basic Black cardstock with white embossing powder. The Matte Black Dots really pop in the centers of the Pool Party Flowers.

A Pretty Perennial Daisy Card

For this daisy card, I cut a rectangle of the striped patterned paper from the True Love Designer Series Paper pack. Then, I laid it diagonally in my paper trimmer so that the stripes lined up with the groove for the cutting blade. This way, the diagonal edge of the paper matched the print perfectly. The flowered paper was a 1" strip that was cut extra long. I adhered it to the front of the card and then trimmed the ends.

The flowers are embossed with white embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock. They are stacked on the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals for lots of extra pop.

Pink Perennials card Idea

This fun card is bursting with Flirty Flamingo! Perennial images are stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink on the edge of this Flirty Flamingo card. To soften the edges even more, I used a Blending Brush to add Flirty Flamingo ink to the edges of the card base and the polka dot patterned paper. You can see how I did this in last week's blog. The flowers are stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink on Basic White cardstock as is the "happy" sentiment. The pink, white, and black really make this a bouquet bursting with happiness.
