Last night, I had a YouTube Galentine's party and share some fun cards to send to our gal pals. Normally, my blog posts usually use the same stamps, the same papers, the same layout, or the same fun fold. But today's cards combine a whole bunch of different stamps, papers, and accessories! Adulting is hard! How would we ever get through it without our besties by our side? And maybe a cocktail - whether that's diet coke, lemonade, or wine! This card has all the glam!

You'll want to head over to YouTube to see how I created the mirror image of the cocktail glass from the Nothing's Better Than stamp set. I cut the sentiment with the coordinating dies and the Playful Alphabet dies from the rainbow glimmer paper and added a strip of the glimmer paper on the side. The Magenta Madness cardstock is embossed with the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder. I added a label cut with the Wild Rose dies for the sentiment.

Your friends will be amazed by the beauty and the fun pop-up flowers on the inside when you send them this card for their birthday. The colors of the Flower & Field patterned paper are stunning! I stamped tone-on-tone for the flowers and leaves to create a subtle look. The happy is heat embossed with white embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock. I added a few Pastel Pearls and Matte Black dots for interest on this card.

In this video, I share how I use blending brushes on the sides of your patterned paper to give your card something a little extra. I love the way this makes the center pop a little more. I also share a tip for mounting the label to the back of your cling stamps.

This video will show you exactly how I created the patterned paper and how I made 5 easy cards with it. But, making your own background paper is very simple. The key is to stamp all over your piece of cardstock, including off the edges, and to place your images very close together or overlapping. I used the Sweet Strawberry stamp set to make my patterned paper since that is the stamp set that I included in my craft box.
