Fabulous Fun Fold Cards: Circle Tab Gift Card Holder

5/17/2022

See how to create this easy fun fold card and gift card holder in my video tutorial. Also, download a free quick-reference guide for this fun fold card idea. Sample cards use the Sweet Songbirds, Peaceful Moments, and Happiness Abounds stamp sets and the Design a Daydream, Abigail Rose, and Hues of Happiness patterned paper from Stampin' Up!
We created these fabulous fun fold gift card holders for this week's Stamp with Me Tuesday. They have a circle at the top where you can stamp a sentiment or an image and a top flap that folds over the circle. Then, when you open the fun fold card, there is a place inside to tuck a gift card.

Using patterned paper like the Hues of Happiness, Abigail Rose or Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!® makes these fun fold cards easy to make! However, you could also stamp images or add additional decoration like I did with the cards using the Sweet Songbirds and Happiness Abounds stamp sets.

If you missed my live demonstration, you can watch the replay to see exactly how to make this card. You'll also find a FREE Quick-Reference Guide with all of the cutting dimensions for this fun fold design at the bottom of this post, so be sure to read all the way through. And of course there are links to all of the supply lists for these cards.

Ok, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Get tips for creating multiple cards like this thank you card with the Mountain Air stamp set. Also includes a video tutorial, cutting dimensions, and supply list.
Have you ever wanted to make a whole bunch of the same card? I have tips for mass producing hand-stamped cards today. The star of the show is the Stamparatus stamping platform.

Many of you know that my daughter was married this weekend. This was kind of a DIY wedding that definitely took a village to put up and take down. I have so many family members that did an amazing job helping us and I wanted to send out some thank you notes to let them know how much I appreciate them. Since I wanted them to reflect the Smoky Mountains where the wedding was held, I turned to the Mountain Air stamp set from Stampin' Up!®

If you want to see exactly how I made these cards, be sure to watch the replay of my live demonstration.

Masculine card ideas using the Let's Set Sail stamp set and Sailboat Builder punch from Stampin' Up! See the video card making tutorial and get the written tutorial. These cards also use the Waves Designer Series Paper.
I love the Let's Set Sail stamp set and coordinating Sailboat Builder punch! It is great for making masculine cards or cards for anyone. For the April card class and game night, I paired it with the Waves Designer Series Paper. Be sure to grab this fabulous patterned paper before it's gone! It's perfect for so many water themed cards and it will be discontinued in May.

This stamp set also works great for baby cards. You can see an example of a sweet baby card here.

If you missed this month's Card Class & Game Night, you can watch the replay and purchase the written tutorial. Then, make sure to register for the May Card Class & Game Night happening on May 24 at 8pm Eastern in the On Y Go! Stamping Facebook group and on YouTube. We'll be using the Your Biggest Fan stamp set to make some more cards for guys including a father's day card.

How to Get Started Cardmaking with a New Stamp Set

3/7/2022

Tips for using new stamps for the first time to create handmade cards. Sample cards using the Let's Set Sail bundle from Stampin' Up!
Don't you just LOVE getting a shipment of new Stampin' Up!® supplies? Or hitting your local craft store and grabbing a great deal? I know I do! It's so exciting and the new papers and stamps are so pretty and new. It makes my heart go pitter patter.

And then, you pull things out and your hear begins to sink. These new items are awesome, but how do I get started making something with them? Raise your hand if this has ever been you. I think we've all been there.

Friday, I did an impromptu YouTube live where I did an unboxing of new supplies that I received from Stampin' Up!  - the Your Biggest Fan and Let's Set Sail bundles. But, I didn't stop there. I shared tips for getting started with those new stamps and made a couple of cards on the spot. Full disclosure - one of them didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. You can see it below.

I apologize for the horrible echo on this video. I didn't know that it was happening during the live. I'm working on fixing this for my next live event.

Ok, on y go! Let's get stamping.
