From Simple to Wow! Three Card Ideas with Clever Cats

Whether your style is quick and easy or a bit more snazzy, this easy card idea and the NEW Clever Cats stamp set are purrfect for you! I took the same basic design and create three different cards to show how you can take a simple design and step it up. So, on y go! Let's get stamping.

Simple handmade card that's purrfect for beginning cardmakers

This basic card design uses just stamps, ink, and paper. Plus, it uses limited colors of paper and ink. It is simple stamping at it's finest!

• ​Basic Gray cardstock: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
• Basic White cardstock: 2 ¼” x 2 ¾”
• Basic Black cardstock: 2 ½” x 3”
• Basic White cardstock (sentiment): 1 ¾” x ½”
• Basic Black cardstock: 1 7/8” x 5/8”
• Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper: 2” x 5 ½”

I only used Tuxedo Black Memento and Crumb Cake ink on this card. For the sentiment behind the image, I stamped multiple times before re-inking.

Add a little bling to this Clever Cat

This card is really just as easy to make as the last card, I just added a few more supplies like the Black Glitter Paper (2 3/4" x 3 1/4") and the Black Baker's Twine.

The patterned paper on these cute cards is available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration in September and October. The Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper is filled with black/gray and white patterns and was designed to coordinate with the Hand-Penned suite, but the neutral colors make it perfect for other projects as well.

For the avid stamper

My third card idea uses even more supplies, but it's still pretty easy to make. I embossed the cat and sentiment using heat embossing. I also embossed the piece of 3 1/2" x 3" Basic Black cardstock with the Timeworn Type embossing folder. I added strips of Black Glitter paper that are about 1/8" wide. (This is a great way to use little scraps!) Finally, I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels for even more bling.
